Basketball Dunk
Professional NBA stars such as Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, and Dikembe Mutumbo all spent their professional years in major NBA dunks, helping get their names on the radar as some of the best dunkers in all of the NBA. If you’re going to try to get your dunks going in the NBA, you have to be able to fly tall over the heads of the other players on the court. If you can’t fly tall over the other players, you won’t get your dunk slammed down.
Basketball Slam Dunks
It’s not easy to complete basketball dunks. If your goal is to complete basketball dunks, you should first practice getting up in your jumps. You are going to have to be able to at least reach the rim of the basketball hoop in order to slam dunk basketballs. If you can’t touch the rim, you don’t stand a chance of being able to slam dunk the basketball. Next you need to gain speed and strength. You want to be able to out hustle the others on the court. So you not only have to be able to jump high to reach the rim, you have to be able to have the speed and strength to get up high and take on the others on the court. If you aren’t the strongest man on the court, you might have trouble dunking the basketball. Then you should work on technique. When you’re slam dunking the basketball, you should palm the ball in your strong hand and raise it above the rim. You should then jump up and place the ball inside the hoop. You can gain style points by grabbing the rim at the end of your slam dunk and hanging on to the rim for a brief period—no more than two seconds.
